The Bedford College Group is dedicated to supporting individuals seeking employment, retraining, or upskilling opportunities. We offer a comprehensive range of services and courses tailored to enhance employability and facilitate career progression.​

Our Offer Includes:

  • Individual Advice and Guidance: Access personalised support to identify your career goals and develop a clear path to achieve them. ​
  • Wellbeing and confidence workshops: Access workshops that support in managing your wellbeing and confidence to progress in your employment journey.
  • Employability Workshops: Participate in workshops designed to enhance skills such as interview techniques, CV writing, and job searching strategies; that prepares you for employment next steps.
  • Essential skills: Improve your English, Maths or Digital Skills through a wide range of education courses.
  • Career Development Courses: Enrol in courses aimed at those needing to retrain, upskill, or start a career in a new industry, aligned with employer needs to support you in gaining industry-relevant training. ​ ​

We work extensively with local employers and support services such as Jobcentre Plus, to create courses that support you directly into work. The Sector-based Work Academy Programmes (SWAP) and Skills Bootcamps include experience of work and a guaranteed job interview.

The below courses and workshops are designed to support you in maximising your employment opportunities, whether that be aligned to retraining, upskilling or starting a new career.

Courses for Essential Skills are FREE if you do not already possess the qualifications at Level 2; courses and workshops aimed at employability are FREE if you are unemployed, receiving universal credit, or employed but earning below £25,000 annually.
