Love our film work PR Story

Three Bedford College students enjoyed the chance of work experience on location as part of filming for a ‘Love Bedford’ promotional video.

Ella Wyatt and Anna Bowen, both Acting Level 3 Extended Diploma students and Musical Theatre student David Honeywell took centre stage in the film financed by the BedfordBID (Business Improvement District) to promote the town centre.

They were featured visiting locations such as McDonald’s on the High Street (which welcomes students all year with a special meal deal) and fashion stores which offer discounts on production of a college ID badge.

The production company Yakety Yak, who have a Bedford College apprentice on their team, have worked with big names like Lord Sugar, Richard Branson and Piers Morgan but also produce regular films for the BedfordBID.

Christina Rowe, Director of BedfordBID said: “The college staff and students are very important customers in the town centre, and the organisation has been a great support to us. We thought it would be a good idea to have a film giving a student’s view of the town centre and where they can get great deals.

There are many businesses which offer discounts through apps but we featured the ones who give 10% off or more, just on production of a Bedford College student ID badge – all year round.
